Machine Operator Trainee


 

Roses Southwest Papers, Inc. (RSWP) is a family owned and operated minority business located in Albuquerque, NM. We specialize in the production of paper products for the away-from-home market. For the past 30 years, we have served some of the nation’s largest restaurant chains and redistributors.  RSWP understands that our success depends on the talents and dedication of our employees, and we strive to provide an environment in which our employees can succeed and grow.  RSWP is a 24/7 operation and employees routinely work any shift assigned.  

Key activities:

Place rolls of paper on machine feed tracks and thread paper though slitter and forming rollers.

Start machines and move controls to regulate tension on pressure rolls, to synchronize speed of machine components and to adjust temperature of glue.

Monitor operation of machine to detect and correct malfunctions such as improper forming.

Examine completed work to detect defects and conformation to product specifications; adjusting machinery as necessary to correct production problems.

Stack and palletize cases of finished product, transport to shrink wrapper; bar code and scan to track daily production.

Successful candidate must be a reliable and responsible individual. Candidate needs to have experience in manufacturing or construction machine operation.  Shifts are routinely 12 hours.   Position reports directly to the shift supervisor.   Schedule hours will normally be 3 days on with 3 days off as a rotation schedule.  This could be a day or night position.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

•High School diploma or equivalent degree

•Prior experience in the manufacturing environment or familiarity working with tools

Skills:

•Watching gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

•Controlling operation of equipment or machinery

•Conducting inspections of products to evaluate quality

•Initiative and attention to detail

•Sense of urgency as it relates production

For over 40 years, we’ve proudly served some of the nation’s largest restaurant chains and distributors. Our success is built on the dedication of our team, and we are currently looking for a detail-oriented, preferably bilingual (English/Spanish) Customer Support Specialist to join our team.

Position Overview:

As a Customer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless experience for our customers—from order placement to delivery. You’ll handle purchase orders, address inquiries, and collaborate with various departments to resolve issues and meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter purchase orders received via EDI, email, or telephone into the order management system
  • Verify all order details, including customer PO, pricing, quantities, discounts, item availability, sales representative, ship date, and shipping address
  • Communicate any discrepancies or required changes to the customer, and obtain revised POs as needed
  • Provide customers with expected delivery dates and follow-up on order status and revisions
  • Coordinate with production, shipping, and other departments to determine accurate ship dates and address any delays or issues
  • Check inventory availability to ensure optimal delivery timelines
  • Prepare and send catalogs, spec sheets, and other requested documentation to customers and the sales team
  • Label, package, and ship product samples
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department
  • Generate customer service reports as requested
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of customer interactions, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken
  • Participate in department meetings to recommend and implement service improvements
  • Stay up to date on all product offerings and any product changes
  • Act as liaison between customers and the shipping department for special instructions (e.g., expedited orders, labeling, documentation)
  • Serve as backup support for other customer service team members when needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (and preferably in Spanish as well)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a manufacturing or order-processing environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Team player with a customer-first attitude

Position Overview:

As a gate attendant, you will be stationed at our main gate entrance and help our visitors and vendors who may need directions or have questions and guide them to their destinations within the company’s facilities. Will assist employees and temporary employees with badge access and keep track of employees’ times entries. Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles according to protocols.

Monitoring surveillance cameras, patrol premises and report suspicious activities or incidents. Schedule is Monday to Friday (2:00PM to 10:00PM).

What We’re Looking For:

High School diploma or equivalent degree.

  • Prior experience in a similar position or security guard.
  • Initiative and attention to detail with a sense of urgency.
  • Some data entry/computer skills needed; familiarity with report writing.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish helpful.
  • Strong observation skills and customer service skills.
