Forklift Operator Trainee

Key activities:

Routinely loads/unloads, stacks, stores, and tracks product and raw materials throughout the facility.

Successful candidate must be a reliable and responsible individual. Candidate needs to have experience in manufacturing or construction.  Shifts are routinely 12 hours.   Position reports directly to the shift supervisor.   Schedule hours will normally be 3 days on with 3 days off as a rotation schedule.  

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent degree

2-3 years recent experience operating a forklift and clamp 

Forklift Certification 

Skills:

A high degree of attention-to-detail

Communication, mathematical and reading comprehension

Initiative and above average communication skills; can speak/read English

Sense of urgency and prioritizing

Key activities:
• This position requires the ability to process customer orders efficiently and accurately using our order management system.
• Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain and update customer accounts with current information.
• Resolve product or service problems by clarifying customer complaints, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and timely order fulfillment.
• Prepare and generate reports as needed.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge to assist customers effectively.

Qualifications/Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in an office environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities


Develops and implements logistics strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.

Oversees and manages all logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.

Coordinates with supply chain, sales, and warehouse departments to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of products.

Monitors and optimizes the performance of logistics operations through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Manages relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure service levels are met.

Ensures compliance with all logistics regulations and standards.

Supports the proper utilization of MRP and logistics management systems.

Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics operations.

Continuously evaluates and improves logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience and certifications.

Responsibilities

Key activities:

The Senior Accountant is accountable for analyzing and adjusting manufacturing processes, target costing, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to all related inventory and manufacturing activities.   Balance sheet management, cash and online banking, post check requests, and direct deposits, 401(K), etc.  Quarterly P/R reports, annual 1099 and W-2s.

Inventory activities

o Coordinate physical inventory cycle counts

o Analyze variances and apply necessary adjustments

o Review costing discrepancies (standard vs. actual)

o Review costing methods on a monthly basis and adjust as necessary

Manufacturing activities

o Review item setup and standards

o Manage work centers and manufacturing routings

o Analyze waste and make adjustments to WIP

o Produce and analyze manufacturing efficiencies and utilization reports

o Work closely with manufacturing, inventory and accounting personnel 

Analysis

o Report on products and work centers, margins, variances and inventory valuation

o Create and analyze budget requirements and capital budgeting 

Education, Experience and Skills

3-5 years experience, manufacturing experience preferred

BBA/BA/BS/MS degree; ERP knowledge 

A high degree of attention-to-detail

Advanced and excellent data mining and analysis

Initiative and above average communication skills

Ability to collaborate with a multi-department team.

Machine Operator Trainee

Key activities:

Place rolls of paper on machine feed tracks and thread paper though slitter and forming rollers.

Start machines and move controls to regulate tension on pressure rolls, to synchronize speed of machine components and to adjust temperature of glue.

Monitor operation of machine to detect and correct malfunctions such as improper forming.

Examine completed work to detect defects and conformation to product specifications; adjusting machinery as necessary to correct production problems.

Stack and palletize cases of finished product, transport to shrink wrapper; bar code and scan to track daily production.

Successful candidate must be a reliable and responsible individual. Candidate needs to have experience in manufacturing or construction machine operation.  Shifts are routinely 12 hours.   Position reports directly to the shift supervisor.   Schedule hours will normally be 3 days on with 3 days off as a rotation schedule.  This could be a day or night position.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

•High School diploma or equivalent degree

•Prior experience in the manufacturing environment or familiarity working with tools

Skills:

•Watching gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

•Controlling operation of equipment or machinery

•Conducting inspections of products to evaluate quality

•Sense of urgency as it relates production
