Quality Control Technician - Manufacturing


 

Roses Southwest Papers, Inc., a major paper converting co, is seeking Quality Control Technician. Quality Control Technician. The position requires the ability to inspect and approve of incoming material, in-process production, and all finished product thru required tests. Effective communication (oral and written) of adjustments to the proper supervisor and shift personnel. The technician will routinely maintain records, reports, and logbooks with proper documentation. Partnership between Production/Quality departments to identify and implement changes to minimize waste. Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures.

Successful candidate must have ability to occasionally lift/transport up to 40 lbs., effective communication skills, including explaining and teaching methodologies, excellent computer skills/MS Office. Manufacturing Experience preferred. Ability to speak, read and write English (Bilingual in Spanish beneficial). Roses Southwest Papers is a 24/7 operation, with a twelve hours shift (7:00-7:00), working three days on, three days off. Our employees are reliable, timely and routinely work any shift assigned.

Parts Room Attendant


 

Position requires ability to stock, organize, inventory, issue, label and control parts and tools entering and leaving the parts room.  Receiving/verifying, data entry computer skills are required (spreadsheet, email, word processing).  Successful candidate must have ability to occasionally lift/transport up to 50 lbs. with assistance. Bilingual English/Spanish helpful. This position is actively involved with monthly physical inventory and daily cycle counts.  Completion of purchase orders for low stock items essential. Applicant should be familiar with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic component terminology.  Mathematical and measurement skills required.  Ability to work a three days on, three days off, rotating shift schedule; twelve hours shift.  Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for past 5 years required.

Maintenance Mechanic


 

Position supports a 24-hour shift operation, requiring flexibility and on-call status. 2-3 years' experience in troubleshooting, dismantle/assembly, maintenance, and repair of production equipment and machinery required. Pneumatic/hydraulic experience, strong electrical troubleshooting, and/or forklift fleet maintenance experience a plus.

Independently or at the direction of team members perform inspections, minor repairs and other duties as assigned on forklifts or miscellaneous fleet equipment. General Math Skills, Deadline-Oriented, Attention to Detail, and Communication Skills are a must.

Forklift Operator


 

The position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. Successful candidate should have 2-3 years recent experience operating a forklift. The position routinely loads/unloads, stacks, stores, and tracks product and raw materials throughout the facility. Mathematical skills are required. Reading comprehension also required. Prior Forklift Certification needed. Our employees are reliable and timely. Must have communication skills, oral and written. Facilities Attendant


 

This position reports to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager. Successful candidate must have ability to work under limited supervision to project completion and can adhere to established safety procedures.  Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in repair of Facility building and grounds. Applicant must have prior experience in construction, heating, air conditioning, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, painting, electricity and mechanical maintenance. Average communication skills, oral and written.

Industrial Electrical Manager


 

Position is responsible for configuration changes, installations and testing new equipment, as well as designing and executing a maintenance plan.  Will be in charge of supervising, monitoring and scheduling the activities of a small electrical team, and must work closely with mechanical and production teams. Candidate needs to have experience in programming and troubleshooting manufacturing control systems and be willing to work off scheduled hours when necessary. Position reports directly to the operations manager.

Education and Experience:

• BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering technology from an accredited technical school with 2 years' manufacturing experience (paper converting industry a plus)

• Expertise with manufacturing control systems (PLC, Motion/Servo Motor & Drives, HMI, Power Distribution, etc.)

• Working knowledge of the following technologies (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Elau Gidding & Lewis Pic Pro, Parker, Proface, Automation Direct, etc.)

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Must be a highly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work

Machine Operator Trainee


 

This position requires ability to operate, monitor, adjust and maintain paper-converting machinery. Prior experience in operating, troubleshooting, rebuilding or repair of machinery and equipment preferred. Inventory Management skills a plus. Successful candidate must have ability to occasionally lift/transport up to 45 lbs. with assistance. Mathematical and measurement skills are required. Reading comprehension ability also required. This position supports a 24-hour 4-shift operation requiring flexibility and on-call status. Applicant should have +4 years’ experience with facility, machinery and equipment.

Experience with 480 Volt, 3 phase systems required. Knowledge of VF motor drives, Motion/Servo motors desired. Routine job duties include installation, inspection, diagnostics, testing, repair and adjustment of manufacturing equipment. Applicant will have strong control/troubleshooting abilities and be able to work from schematics and process and instrumentation diagrams.
